Nucleolin

   The phosphoprotein nucleolin primarily localizes to the nucleolus where it is involved in the regulation of rRNA gene transcription and ribosome assembly. In addition, nucleolin is also implicated in mRNA translation and turnover in the cytoplasm highlighting its multiple cellular functions.
